Dear
I want to tell you about a dog named Charlie - because his story explains exactly why I’m writing to you today.
Charlie was lying on the roadside when someone finally called us. He had likely been hit by a motorbike hours earlier. He couldn’t stand. He couldn’t crawl. He couldn’t even lift his head when our team arrived - but he was still trying to wag his tail.
Here in Sangkhlaburi, there is no full-time veterinarian for hours. No ambulance that comes when a dog is injured. No government agency to intervene.
There is only us - and only the generosity of people like you.
When our phone rings with a case like Charlie’s, we have to act immediately. But the hardest truth is this: We can only save animals if the resources are there before the call comes in.
That’s why I’m asking if you will join our Emergency Rescue Team. Your dependable monthly support - whether it’s $5 (just 17¢ a day), $10, $20, or any amount, in any currency - is what allows us to reach suffering animals the moment we’re needed. (If you are already a monthly donor please disregard this message - and accept my apology.) |
