A few days ago, another injured dog arrived at our clinic. She could barely walk. Every step caused pain. We examined her carefully. We checked her legs. We felt her ribs. We watched how she moved.

But there was one thing we could not do. We could not see what was happening inside her body. Was there a fracture? Internal injuries? Damage that would become life-threatening if left untreated?

Every week, dogs and cats arrive at our clinic with injuries hidden beneath the surface. We do everything possible to help them, but without x-ray equipment we often have no option but to make the four-hour drive to a clinic in Kanchanaburi that has the necessary diagnostic equipment. 

This single piece of equipment will help us diagnose injuries in minutes instead of hours. It will spare animals unnecessary pain and suffering. And, since it is portable, we will be able to diagnose dogs and cats where they are in the field - at temples and in jungle communities.
