Remember Feun?  His rescue is exactly why your compassion matters so much here in Sangkhlaburi.

Feun was found lying beside the road - skin stretched tight over his ribs, too weak to stand, too dehydrated to cry, covered in ticks, and sinking fast. He didn’t lift his head when we approached. He didn’t even flinch. He had simply run out of strength.

Out here on the Thai–Myanmar border, there is no animal control. No emergency vet. No government safety net. When a dog like Feun collapses on the roadside, the only chance he has is us - and the only reason we can save him is you.

When the call came in about Feun, we left immediately. There was no time to wait, no time to raise money first, no time to hope someone else would step in. We lifted him gently into our truck and brought him straight to the sanctuary for emergency care.

Hydration. Nutrition. Medicine. A safe place to rest. Patience. Days of quiet support.

Slowly - unbelievably - Feun began to come back. He stood. He trusted. He lived!

Today, Feun is unrecognizable: bright eyes, strong body, tail wagging with confidence. But his survival wasn’t magic. It wasn’t luck.

It was compassion, prepared in advance.

And that’s why I’m writing to you.

Too often, when the next emergency call comes, we simply don’t have enough resources on hand to respond immediately. We worry. We scramble. We hope donations arrive in time.
