As a puppy, Blatu was the sole survivor after her mother and littermates were poisoned by neighbors. Against all odds, she lived. An English-Thai couple rescued her, gave her a home, and surrounded her with love. For the first time, she was safe. She was wanted. She belonged.
But when serious illness forced her family to relocate for long-term medical treatment, they faced a heartbreaking reality: they could no longer care for the dog they loved so deeply.
They searched for another home. They asked friends. They explored every option. When they could find no one, they turned to the Sangkhlaburi Animal Sanctuary. Because they had supported our work for years, they knew we would care for Blatu as if she were our own. The goodbye was heartbreaking. |
