In the heart of Thailand’s monsoon season - through pounding rain, flooded roads, and knee-deep mud - we did something extraordinary.

With your help, we just completed FOUR free spay/neuter clinics in our rural community - fixing more than 100 dogs and cats.

That means thousands upon thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens will never be born to suffer. And make no mistake - the numbers are staggering.

A single unspayed cat and her offspring can lead to up to 420,000 kittens over her reproductive lifetime. One unspayed dog? Up to 67,000 puppies in just six years.

By spaying just one animal, we break that heartbreaking cycle.

We do these surgeries for free - because in a place like Sangkhlaburi, that’s the only way it works. Families here love their animals deeply, but they cannot afford professional vet care, and the nearest private clinic is a grueling half-day drive away.

So we bring the clinic to them.

But let’s be honest – “free” isn’t really free.

You and I both know how much spay/neuter costs in the US or UK - $250 to $750 or more (or the equivalent) per animal. That’s what we’ve paid for our own pets.

At the sanctuary, we provide the same lifesaving surgery for just $25 (£19) - thanks to donated supplies and our incredible international volunteer team.

In just one of our recent clinics, a team of 11 volunteers - Thai, English, Irish, Spanish, and Swiss - worked 14-hour days and spayed/neutered 44 animals. 

But these aren’t simple procedures.

(TRAGICALY, many families, unable to reach a vet, use human contraceptives on their dogs - not realizing the animal might already be pregnant. It’s heartbreaking. These shots can cause the puppies to die in the womb or lead to life-threatening infections like pyometra - which, if it bursts, is almost always fatal.)

These are the lives we’re saving - and the suffering we’re preventing.

Every $25 (£19) donation means one more surgery. One more life saved. Thousands of births prevented.
