In the far western corner of Thailand - where the paved roads end and the jungle takes over - is a tiny town called Sangkhlaburi. It’s breathtaking. 

But it’s brutal for street dogs and cats… life is a daily battle for survival. 

There is no animal control. No municipal shelter. No government help.

Animals survive by scavenging through trash, dodging traffic, hiding from the blazing sun or monsoon rains. They run from bigger dogs. From cruel people. From children throwing rocks. They sleep hungry, sore, and scared - and wake up to do it all again.

This is where the Sangkhlaburi Animal Sanctuary steps in. 

We are often the only lifeline for street animals in this remote corner of the world. We provide free emergency rescues, free veterinary care, and free spay/neuter clinics - because “affordable” doesn’t exist here.

Just ask Ping Ping…

What we saw stopped us cold: half of Ping Ping’s internal organs were hanging outside her body in a horrifying prolapse. She was in unspeakable pain. And without emergency surgery - free surgery - she would not have survived the hour. Today, Ping Ping is joyful. She runs to greet staff, toy in mouth, tail wagging. She's still hoping for an adoptive family.  But she is alive - because someone like you made her rescue possible.

And then there’s Brighton…

We found him wandering along the main highway. Skin ravaged by mange. Patches of fur clinging to bone. Just over a year old and barely hanging on. But his heart was still beating. And that was enough. Now Brighton sleeps safely. He’s warm, happy and well fed - and also waiting for a forever home.

Our sanctuary was built for dogs like Ping Ping and Brighton.  But we can only keep saving precious lives with your help. We give street dogs and cats their first real chance at life.
