Can you believe it’s already been a year? Time flies when you’re on a mission!

For the past twelve months, our team has been making a special monthly journey, weather permitting, down a rough road to visit our friends at Children of the Forest - an extraordinary organization that gives refuge to vulnerable children and battered mothers who have nowhere else to turn.

They build simple bamboo huts, teach mothers trades so they can support their families, and send children to school. It is a place of hope.

But with no perimeter fence, dogs and cats from the nearby temple wander in, drawn by the smell of cooking food. Soon, the grounds are overrun. Many of the animals arrive covered in ticks and fleas, unvaccinated, and at risk of spreading disease. Concerned for the children’s safety, the directors asked for our help.

Together with your support, we began a life-saving mission:

Monthly vaccination trips - rabies shots, deworming, flea/tick treatments.

Spay camps - four so far, already reducing the stray population dramatically.

Ongoing care - ensuring the roughly 20 dogs and many cats remain healthy and safe for both the animals and the children.

This mission is powered entirely by kindness. Children of the Forest can only donate 1,000 baht (about $27 or less than £20) per month toward the costs. The rest - the vaccines, medicine, supplies, and travel - comes from compassionate friends like you.
