Meet Pirate (and Ruby)!

Pirate was found by our staff member Pipi, living dangerously close to a busy main road. She had two siblings - but heartbreakingly, only Pirate survived. When Pipi went to check on her, Pirate was covered in ticks and fleas. She was rushed to our sanctuary for urgent treatment.

It was then we discovered that Pirate can only see out of one eye. We don’t know why - but we do know that it doesn’t hold her back.

Thanks to care, medicine, and love, Pirate has made a full recovery. She’s playful, happy, and best friends with Ruby - another puppy with vision problems who came to us in need. The two girls are inseparable, shredding every toy (and even their bedding!) just like mischievous puppies do. Both are about six months old, fully vaccinated, and spayed.

Today, Pirate and Ruby are healthy and ready to start her next chapter: finding forever homes filled with love and safety.

But Pirate’s story is just one of many. Every day, dogs like her arrive at our gates - injured, abandoned, or clinging to life. We never want to turn them away. And that’s why I’m reaching out to you.
