When a kind stranger noticed his neighbor’s pregnant dog was painfully thin, he didn’t look away. He fed her proper food, not just scraps of rice. When her nine tiny pups were born, he brought every single one to our clinic.

All nine received health checks, flea and tick treatment, and deworming. That’s when we discovered one frail little pup in especially bad shape.

The little puppy weighed just half a kilo (only a pound) and had a wound on his tail, but far worse - something was happening to his leg. We treated both but within days, the man returned, desperate. The pup’s leg was deteriorating. He asked if we could put him to sleep.

Our staff refused to give up. They pleaded for the chance to try to save him.

During surgery to amputate his leg, the puppy stopped breathing. For a terrifying moment, we thought we had lost him. But thanks to the skill and persistence of our team, his tiny heart started again! After surgery, this miracle puppy was given the name Fuen, which in Thai means revive or resuscitate.

And now? 

Little Fuen just came in for a check-up… and he’s thriving. His tail wags. His eyes shine. He is alive - because someone cared, because we didn’t give up, and because people like you make saving lives like Fuen’s possible.

But every procedure, every treatment, every fragile life we fight for stretches our small clinic and sanctuary to the limit. We can only say “yes” to dogs like Fuen if friends like you stand with us.
