Mission Update: Saving Lives & Protecting Nature at Sane Phong Village 🌿🐾

On December 9-10, the Sangkhlaburi Animal Sanctuary team traveled to Ban Sane Phong, a remote Karen community surrounded by forest with over 250 households.

The Challenge:
Due to the difficult terrain, villagers cannot easily access vet care in town. Most pets roam freely, leading to overpopulation and hygiene issues. More critically, as the village sits within a forest zone, unchecked populations—especially hunting cats—pose a serious threat to local biodiversity, risking the loss of insects and small wildlife.

The Result:
In just 2 days, our team successfully sterilized and vaccinated 65 dogs and cats! 🎉 This is crucial not just for animal welfare, but for protecting the surrounding ecosystem from encroaching domestic predators.

We Need You:
This was just the beginning. Many more animals need help before the population spirals out of control. We are urgently looking for:

👨‍⚕️ Volunteer Vets & Nurses for our next camp.
💰 Donations to fund medical supplies and transport.
Help us maintain the balance between the community and the wild.
