Uno is ADOPTED! Uno was our first rescue, and he needed us before we had even finished construction. Rife with skin disease, blind in one eye from an unimaginable injury, and plagued by two large, weighty cysts at only a few weeks old, Uno was close to death when we were able to catch him. An emergency trip to the vets that day, and weeks of round-the-clock care from Denise saved Uno’s life. Uno went from living in a serious depression, pressing his head against a wall almost constantly, to a vibrant, joyful, and proud little boy. Uno is a spunky pup and you will have to earn his trust; but only once. After you’ve been approved – we suggest bribery using treats, by the way! – you’ll be privy to Uno’s boundless energy and overflowing love. You’ll be greeted by him turning circles, doing his best awoooo for your attention, and maybe just a little bit of pee, if he really missed you.

Uno follows our staff members every where he’s allowed, proudly plodding ahead, but always looking back to make sure his friend is following. Uno is only a few months old and his curiosity and bemusement of the world is infectious. The birds and the butterflies are all his unknowing play mates, and now he’s fully vaccinated, Uno has begun to explore the outside world with his pack and plays for hours on end with our other puppy, Lottie. Apart from being blind in one eye he’s perfectly healthy. He is cautious but happy to play with children and other dogs and has yet to meet any cats. 

Uno is strong, courageous, and resilient, and we have now found him a home where he never needs to be those things again!
