Two Innocent Animals. Two Acts of Cruelty. One Sanctuary Standing Between Life and Death
Your Support Makes SAVING LIVES Possible.
I wish I didn’t have to share stories like these. But this is the daily reality for animals in Sangkhlaburi – and why your kindness truly matters.
Recently, a young dog was rushed into our clinic after being shot by a neighbor.
Not just shot – shot with a bullet designed to explode on impact!

The damage was devastating. The surgery was long and delicate. But he survived. He’s already returned to have his stitches removed, and against all odds, this brave boy is healing.
But he is only alive because our tiny team was here and able to act immediately.
And then, before we had even caught our breath, another emergency arrived.
A small house cat – affectionately called Pus Pus by his family – was brought in after a group of children shot him in the eye with a slingshot stone. His owners did everything right. They scooped him up and rushed him straight to us.

Sadly, by the time he arrived, we had only one option: remove the eye to save his life.
The children responsible were shown exactly what had happened and firmly told why this can never happen again.
Pus Pus is home now, healing, adapting, and safe – thanks to fast action and compassionate care.
These two emergencies happened within hours of each other.
This is how quickly our resources disappear.
This is why we reach out to you.
Your support today makes it possible for us to answer every cry for help – whether it’s a dog fighting for his life or a beloved family cat injured in seconds.
Will you make a gift today to help us continue this life-saving work?
With heartfelt gratitude,

PS: Innocent animals like the brave young dog whose life we saved and poor Pus Pus the cat don’t choose danger – but they depend on us when it finds them. If you can, please donate today. Your gift helps ensure we’re ready for the next emergency, the next innocent life in crisis, the next animal who has no one else.
