Hundreds of street dogs depend on us for dinner. We must NEVER let them down!
Every evening, just before we close the clinic and head home, there is one more job that simply cannot wait.
We climb onto our motorbike and set off through the streets of Sangkhlaburi.
And they are waiting…
Some are already sitting patiently outside our clinic gates long before we leave. They have learned that if they arrive at the same time every day, there will be a nourishing meal waiting for them.
Others appear as we travel through the town. Somehow, they know we’re coming. Perhaps it’s the sound of the motorbikes. Perhaps it’s simply hope. Certainly, it’s because they are starving!
By the end of our evening journey… we will have fed and checked on another 40 to 50 street dogs.
That means 1,200 to 1,500 hungry dogs every single month receive food because compassionate friends like you make it possible.
For many of these animals, this is the only dependable meal they will have all day.
Every bowl is carefully prepared with rice, kibble, pumpkin, and chicken – simple ingredients that provide the nutrition they desperately need to survive.
Seven days a week. Three hundred and sixty-five days a year. No matter how hot it is. No matter how hard it rains. No matter how tired we are. Because hungry dogs cannot wait until tomorrow.
Providing these meals costs about $300 every month. Just $30 a day ensures that we can keep these bowls full.
While that may not seem like a great deal, it is a vital expense that we simply cannot meet without the kindness of caring people like you.
