This is Maaruay. His name means “bring money,” but what he truly deserves is compassion, comfort, and a chance to heal. Instead, this gentle boy has become the victim of a horrifying act of violence that has left him in a critical state.
When Maaruay arrived at the Sangkhlaburi Animal Sanctuary, the injuries were almost too painful to look at. His eyes were swollen nearly shut. Blood was coming from his nose. His head trauma was obvious and severe. And we still do not know the full extent of the internal damage – our veterinary team is working urgently to assess and stabilize him.
His owners are devastated and doing everything they can to cooperate with our team and seek justice. No animal should ever be subjected to this kind of cruelty.
Right now, Maaruay needs extensive medical treatment, continuous monitoring, pain control, and diagnostic tests to understand the extent of his injuries.
